Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. It covers this website (quorum.meffecta.com) and the Quorum command-line software.
Who we are
Quorum is a product of Meffecta AB, a company registered in Sweden ("we", "us", "our"). For anything in this policy, we are the data controller for the personal data described below. You can reach us through our contact page.
The short version
- The Quorum software runs on your own machine. Your mission, your
QUORUM.md, your agents' work, and your files never leave it for us to see. - The software reports anonymous, aggregate usage statisticsthat cannot identify you, and you can turn them off.
- On this website we use privacy-respecting analytics and a contact form. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Data we process on this website
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and which devices and browsers they use. This involves cookies and processes data such as a truncated IP address, approximate location, and page-interaction events. We use it only in aggregate to improve the site; we don't try to identify individual visitors.
Legal basis: your consent where required, and otherwise our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site (Art. 6(1)(a)/(f) GDPR). You can opt out at the browser level (for example, by blocking cookies or using the browser's Do Not Track / tracking-protection settings), and Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
Contact form
When you write to us through the contact page, we collect the name, email address, andmessage you submit. We use this solely to read and reply to your message. The form is delivered on our behalf by Formspree, which processes the submission and forwards it to us.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR). We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and any reasonable follow-up.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, its servers process technical data such as your IP address and request metadata to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
Data the Quorum software processes
Quorum is software you run locally. It orchestrates AI agents on your own computer and, by design, keeps your work there.
Anonymous usage analytics
The software reports a small, fixed set of non-identifyingfacts about how it's used — such as the Quorum version, operating system, a coarse count of agents, and which command you ran — so we can steer development by real usage. Each install is identified only by a random UUID minted on your machine; it is never linked to you, your account, or your IP address.
By construction, analytics never includes your mission, yourQUORUM.md, agent prompts or personas, task or CRM content, file paths, organization names, command arguments, environment values, or API keys. Analytics is off by default in CI, and you can disable it entirely at any time (quorum analytics disable, the QUORUM_ANALYTICS_DISABLEDenvironment variable, or the cross-tool DO_NOT_TRACK standard). The full detail is in our Analytics & privacy documentation.
Third-party AI providers
Quorum works by driving an agent "brain" that you configure — for example Anthropic's Claude, or another provider — usingyour own credentials. When your agents run, your prompts and content are sent directly from your machine to that provider under the account and terms you hold with them. We are not a party to that exchange and do not receive that content. Your use of any such provider is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy.
Cookies
This website uses cookies for the analytics described above. It does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to read the site.
Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the website and product, acting as our processors under appropriate agreements:
- Google (Google Analytics) — website usage analytics.
- Formspree — delivery of contact-form submissions.
- Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery.
We may also disclose data where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the security of our services.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based outside the EU/EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent adequacy mechanism.
Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected: contact correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request, and analytics data for a limited retention window in aggregate form. We delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA (and in many other regions), you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Sweden, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
Children
Quorum is a professional developer tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and our practices evolve. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
